Iraq is among the top countries most affected by climate change, facing rising temperatures, water scarcity, and extreme weather events. 

The Enterprise Development Fund-Green aims to support green businesses, to promote climate resilience and adaptation. The report highlights that 75% of surveyed businesses believe they can further contribute to climate mitigation or adaptation with financial support, such as grants. Key areas of focus include solar energy adoption, waste recycling, and water-efficient irrigation systems. However, challenges like lack of capital, high costs, and limited awareness limit and delay progress. EDF-Green recommends supporting businesses that produce green products or adopt sustainable practices, while also promoting job creation and community awareness. Together, we can build a greener, more resilient Iraq!
