Livelihoods Policy Brief No. 6: is the sixth in a series of thematic papers by IOM Iraq that focuses on economic recovery and livelihoods. This brief examines IOM data collected over the last two years to identify challenges related to access to formal financial sources for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), including lack of supportive regulatory environments, limited access to reliable information sources, advanced technology and markets; restricted access to financial resources; high collateral requirements; and more. The brief then goes on to propose policy recommendations to address the highlighted challenges.
